This was my human-centered research and design project for my DSGN100 Prototyping class. The topic focused on the concept of Health Conscious. I led a team with 4 other members to create our app ADAMAS which aims to help college students involved in fitness achieve their primary fitness goals. The idea is that users can manage their calorie intake by using this app to monitor their nutrition they can achieve their primary fitness goal. In this project I was the team leader and guided them through the design process from research, to interview guides, storyboards, creating hifi prototype and a design for a final poster.

We first started by each doing research on our topic of Health Conscious realated to physcial activities. We conducted our competetive analysis on similar apps like fitbit and did field observations with people at the gym. We found that many people go workout but they can't achieve their ideal fitness goal because of their diets. We saw this problem and so we decided to focus on helping college students achieve their fitness goals through nutrition.

My team came up with a list of user needs we got from our field observations. I then created a storyboard to represent our problem and solution. I brought the storyboard with me and did a couple speed dating interviews with 3 users to gather more insight and data about their lifestyle and if they could relate to the storyboard.

After deciding what our mission was it was time to start creating the solution. We came together to decide what actions and functions we want on our app. We put them all on sticky notes onto a paper to see how the flow went. We then made paper prototypes to test and I created the LoFi wireframes to go with it.

Drawing inspiration from our research and personas we created a moodboard together by coming up with adjectives that best represent us. We then collected images from magazines and made a collage to see what mood and feeling we got. The first moodboard we created had too much diversity so we narrowed down our adjectives and did a new moodboard with a more consistent mood and set of colors.

Based on our moodboard, we created a design language specification to show our choice of colors, typefaces, and design elements.

After getting feedback from testing our paper prototypes and having our design spec done, I created our HiFi screens using Figma and uploaded them onto Invision to create a prototype version.

Finally we had to create a poster for all of the work we've done to present as our Final. I did the design layout of our poster and organized the items and layout to display a dominance hierarchy.
