This was my final project for my COGS122 Interaction Design Startup class. I joined a group of 4 other members to come up with a buisness startup idea. Our Idea was on delivering customized care packages. In this project, I did online surveys, speed dating guides, storyboards, value propositions, branding, unbounce landing pages, and startup buisness model.
From our research online and user interviews we found that sometimes shipping can cost a lot and it can take a long time to deliver something to someone else. We came up with QuickCare which is a customized care package delivery service. The sender finds a package they like and can add customization to it and when the order is sent, a fulfilment person on the other end accepts the order and puts the package together and delivers it to the reciever.
After doing research we then analyzed our potential stakeholders and made a list of their needs/desires and challenges.
I then created a storyboard to represent our problem and solution. I created an online survey with the storyboard and got feedback from 20 people to gather more insight and data about our users lifestyle and if they could relate to the storyboard.
Since this is a startup idea, I had to create a value flow to see what our buisness model looked like.
Together with my team we then had to create a design language specification for our startup idea. I worked on creating a moodboard with a collage of images that best represents us. My teammates then created the design spec and logos from the moodboard.
We then had to test our brand and see what alternatives were better. Me and another teammate used Unbounce to create landing pages and run AB tests to see which brand was better, while our other teammates worked on our user flow and lofi wireframes.
After finalizing our value proposition, I began to quantify our buisness model by estimating start up costs and projected income for the next 6 months. This is all assuming that this buisness would start. I had to decide how much our income and expenses would be as well as our projected users and how we would manage everything.
Finally we had to create a final poster for our design startup idea for a final pitch during final presentations. I worked with another teammate on the layout of the poster and where items should go. We wanted to display a dominance hierarchy and position our data in a way to best sell our idea to the judges.
